Why don't we display some of our prices?

Since we, Electronics Expo, are Authorized Dealers of most major brands, some of the manufacturers do not allow us to advertise their products below (MAP) Minimum Advertised Price. In order for you to view this "too low" to advertise price, just click on the "add to cart to view price" link.

So, there are places on our website where you intentionally have to "add to cart to view the price" or have the price sent to you via an "email me a price" link. Please be assured that by simply adding an item to your cart does not obligate you to buy it. You can always delete the item from your cart if you decide not to make the purchase.

What is (MAP)?

MAP is a voluntary agreement a retailer enters into with a manufacturer. According to the agreement, which varies in details from vendor to vendor, the retailer can sell an item for any price they wish, but may not advertise the item for an amount less than the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). These agreements help level the playing field for both the small retailer and the giant retail chain. Retailers agree to MAP contracts because the vendor makes it worthwhile for them to do so. As retailer who abides by the agreement can count on getting first product news and early shipments of newest and latest products.

Here at Electronics-Expo.com, while we abide by our (MAP) agreements, we want to make it as easy as possible for you, our valued customer. We will provide you with best possible selling price and top-notch customer service that comes with the sale of an item. While MAP policies may level the playing ground for authorized dealers, it sometimes makes it more difficult for us to compete with some of the non-authorized dealers that pretty much could do anything they want to the price, the product and to you. Why is (MAP) important?

Manufacturers consider companies that violate their MAP policies to be unauthorized resellers. Which we are not! Buying any item from an unauthorized dealer may void the manufacturer's warranty, service and support, as well as any extended warranties purchased.
