Samsung Digital Camera 3 Year Extended Warranty

This extended warranty covers an additional three (3) years of parts and labor service from date of purchase. This limited warranty applies to all Samsung digital cameras. The equipment will be guaranteed to operate properly according to manufacturer's specifications or will be repaired to operate properly at no charge to you. This warranty does not cover equipment which has been misused, tampered with, modified or damaged as a result of accident, water, grit, impact or lack of proper care as indicated in the manual of operations. This limited warranty is non transferable.

Samsung Opto-Electronics America Inc., warrants to the original consumer purchasers of all digital photographic products sold in the United States bearing the Samsung brand name, that such products are free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of three years beginning at the conclusion of the first year following the date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the repair, adjustment and or replacement of defective parts, and is subject to other limitations and conditions which are set forth below,

1. THIS OPTIONAL WARRANTY IS VALID ONLY IF ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER RETAINS THE ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT AND COPIES OF THE EXTENDED THREE YEAR WARRANT.

2. Under the optional three year extended warranty, the original consumer purchaser shall be entitled to reutn the product to Samsung  Opto-Electronics America Inc., in accordance with the procedures set forth in paragraphs 6 for a check-up and cleaning regardless of whether any defects exist. A check-up includes inspection of all camera functions, including shutter speed, exposure, autofocus and any repairs required to achieve factory tolerance.

3. SAMSUNG OPTO-ELECTRONICS AMERICA, INC., SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE IN ANYWAY FOR THE CROSS OF MEMORY CARD OR PICTURES, OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY OTHER LOSSES, EXPENSES, OR INCONVENIENCES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCT OR FROM ANY FAILURE OF MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP IN THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES D NOT RECOGNIZE OR PERMIT LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF SUCH STATE, THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO YOU.

4. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ON SAMSUNG BRAND PRODUCTS SOLD IN THE UNITED STATES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION OF THE LIMITED EXPRESS WARRANTY DESCRIBED HEREIN, SOME STATES DO NOT RECOGNIZE OR PERMIT LIMITATIONS ON THE DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF SUCH A STATE, THE FORGOING LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO YOU.

5.  This warranty is void and may not be used by the customer if the serial number on the product has been altered or removed or if the product has been mishandled, tampered with, or shows evidence of water, sand or chemical damage or corrosion, or used contrary to any of the instruction contained in the owner's manual, or damage caused in shipping or by repair performed or attempted by anyone other than Samsung Opto-Electronics America, Inc.

6. To be eligible for service under this warranty, the product must be returned with a copy of the original sales receipt and the warranty registration within the period of warranty to Samsung Opto-Electronics America Inc, Inc., at the following address at the purchaser's option: 40 Seaview Drive, Secaucus, NJ 07094 or 18600 Broadwick Street, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90220. The original purchaser is required to pay the shipping charges in connection with any return of product to Samsung Opto-Electronics America, Inc., for service under this warranty and to enclose $9.95 with the product to cover handling, insurance and return postage.

7. The limited warranty set forth herein only applies to the digital camera and does not apply to batteries, memory cards, computer software, cables or any other contents included in the package.

8. Digital photographic products sold in the United States bearing the Samsung name are manufactured and designed for normal consumer use and service and not for use in connection with professional or commercial photography. This warranty does not apply if products are used for professional or commercial purposes. Samsung Opto-Electronics America, Inc., is not responsible for losses, damages, costs, expenses or inconveniences arising out of or relating to professional or commercial use of the products.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
