Monster Cable's MP-AV600 uses the traditional power strip design, lining all of its six AC outlets up in a row. <p>

Though the form factor is traditional, the coloring of the MP-AV600 is not. Monster color codes the outlets and even includes labels so you can easily disassemble and reassemble your system. In addition to suppressing surges, the MP-AV600 filters electro-magnetic and radio-frequency interference (EMI/RFI), which the company says has been known to produce hums and buzzes in audio equipment.<p>

One of the best features of this suppressor is the 360-degree swiveling, right-angle plug with 24K gold contacts. The right-angle plug lets you place furniture close to the outlet, while the gold contacts will not easily corrode and dirty the connection.<p>

Surge suppression is measured in joules. This surge suppressor carries a joule rating of 420.<p>
